History of flashlights (part 2)

Carrying on from our first part, here is part 2 of the history of flashlights

1967 - the first Eveready rechargeable flashlight was introduced, which game consumers the ability to always have a working glashlight around the hour and not depend on having batteries
1968 - Energizer introduced its first flurescent lantern which required less frequent bulb changing and greater efficiency than traditonal bulbs
1970 - The first water proof flashlight was introduced by Energizer
1975 - The Eveready economy light was introduced and today is the world’s most popular flashlight
1983 - Energizer introduced its first flourescent flashlight, which required less frequent bulb changing and greater efficiency than traditional bulbs
1984 - Energizer introduced the first 2D Halogen flashlight, which produced a brighter light than other bulbs
1986 - The first Everead Squeeze Light was introduced, which allowed for new functionality in a small, compact travel size
1996 - Energizer introduced its first LED light in the form of a squeeze light, compact area directional light and a bicycle light, the LED light source allows for increased runtime and never needs replacing
1997 - the first Energizer branded flashlight was introduced, the Doublebarrel
1998 - Eveready celebrated 100 years of portable lightinf products leadership.
2005 - Energizer introduced the Quick Switch flashlight which allows customers to use whatever battery size they have on hand (AA, AA C or D)
